Hewitson Miss Harry 2005

Saved in Red wine, Sour Grapes recommends, €15-€20
Hewitson Miss Harry 2005 from the Barossa Valley. My last purchase from Berry Bruvvahs n’ Rudd before they closed on Friday. GSM is Grenache Syrah Mouvedre, a Rhône blend, don’t you know.
Bloody good drop too.
Ooh… Miss Harry… and the lovely Dean…
There is a lot of Old Vine Grenache just out of Lyndoch that is spectacular fruit..!
Only the Winemakers that are quality, bother with it, as it’s no higher than you’re knee and about 80-100 yrs old! Stooped and gnarled …
Some of the best Grenache in the AU comes from these Vines which are in slate over columns of limestone, and very, very dry grown.
If you can find the ‘02 around, this is the most special, there is some kicking about here still…
‘05 Vintage was the best since ‘02 (coolest year ever).

I’ve also got an ‘05 Ned & Henry’s Shiraz – picked both up last week as Berry Brothers closed its Dublin doors
Jacquie,
Any update on that Salon tasting? Or any of your other cool Aussie tastings?
Cheers,
Will
