Hole in the Wall: 50% Wine Sale Friday 4th December

The Hole in the Wall annual wine sale starts this Friday (4th December) with hundreds of wines at half price (that’s real half price rather than some supermarket half-price “deals”).
Why the good deal? You’ll often hear the term “bin-end” in wine sales. What is means is the shop needs to make space for new stock from a new vintage.
I popped up there last night to have a chat with Martin and PJ and look at what was on sale. Remarkable range of wines, from some m0nopole Grand Cru Burgundies to some cracking Cabernets from Australia, all tastes and budgets. Genuinely, one of the best wine sales you’ll see anywhere.
So while the Irish economy has hit the wall, you should hit the Hole in the Wall and snap up some fantastic wines at a snip.
Where is the Hole in the Wall?

Did you pick up anything interesting Lar?
Hi Will,
picked up a Bowen Cab. from Coonawarra, Aloxe Corton, a Savigny les Beaune.
They also had a Grand Cru Monopole from Romanée Conti, but can’t remember the producer/vineyard.

I had a peek out there last night but didn’t see anything of interest to me…
The 04 Savigny from Bize is a great bargain at €20 but I’m avoiding 04s at the moment and have enough Savigny to last me a good while yet.
Didn’t spot any Romanee Conti, but would have been all over it if I had. I imagine alot of the good stuff got picked over relatively quickly…
