Some photos from the Tim Adams Terroirists / Sourgrapes.ie dreamteam which took home The Wine Australia Touchwine trophy on Sunday.
Thanks to John McDonnell for putting together such a great event, to the Met Office (or God) for organising such great weather and Craig Smith for organising the sponsorship of the team. He assures me that next year’s jerseys will not be thick cotton, nor black. I’m hoping they’re at least half as colourful as Chester Osborn’s shirts. That would be something.

Well done guys. Great stuff. I really like the look of running sweat off the winning captain or was it just a very hot day!! Holy Terroir Batman looks like we’ll just have to do it all again next year.
Hard Yakka, mate, hard yakka.
The Wine Australia Regional Heroes already embarked on a grueling training plan in anticipation of TouchWine Ireland 2011. Provisional date Sunday May 22nd.
Next year we’ll be ready!

Wine Australia
John,
is there a champions league or something now, where you fly the team to Australia and have us play exhibition matches in the Barossa, Margaret River and Hunter Valley?

Now there’s a thought, but no.
Just the original TouchWine hosted in Adelaide each year
https://www.touchwine.com.au/ for the details.
But interesting idea to get a team to be part of that.
Leave it with me,
John
