Blake Creedon’s Favourite Australians: 1st December, Cork
Posted on November 12th, 2010
Wine Australia’s latest tasting takes place in the true capital, Cork.
This time out it’s Blake Creedon of the Irish Examiner who has been set the task of picking his favourite Australian wines, then sharing them with all who attend.
Why go?
Apart from getting to taste 65+ wines (restraint advised!), Australia has amazing depth and breath and I’d encourage you to go? I reckon there could be a few Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs, fizz or “stickies” to inspire for Christmas dinner.
Last year (my God is it a year, already)?, John Wilson presented his favourites and it was well worth it.
When & where?
Wednesday 1st December, 6pm – 8.30pm at the Cork School of Music on Union Quay (where my parents first met each other, both music teachers at the time. Where did your parents meet?).
How much?
€20 per person with some tasty nibbles being served.
For tickets, call 065 7077264 or .
Mum was working in a sweet shop in dad’s area in 1970s Athlone – what a story.
My Mum’s 1st cousin (I think) was in the army in Athlone. His daughter works my missus but we only joined the dots at their graduation a few years ago at their graduation.
