WINNERS ANNOUNCED: Commenters 6 & 7 (Noelle Sousa and Ashling Hayes)
Christmas has definitely come early for sourgrapes.ie readers and the latest from the “key challenger to Robert Parker in 2011 award shortlisted blog” is 4 tickets to give-away (as two pairs) for the Food & Wine Christmas Show, 26th – 28th November in the RDS.
Good speeches are all about levity, brevity and repetition, writing probably is too, to get one of the three nailed, I have 2 pairs of tickets to the Food & Wine Christmas Show, 26th – 28th November in the RDS.
What’s in store?
Lazily cutting and pasting from the lovely Anne Marie Foran’s email, “The show will also include The Chef’s Table where lucky audience members will be served 3-course meals by the chefs themselves including Neven Maguire, Derry Clarke, Ross Lewis, Dylan McGrath, Sunil Ghai, Paul Flynn and Kevin Thornton”.
How to win tickets
To enter, pop a festive comment below. Please note: any that mention recession, “these economic times”, the IMF, EMF or the KLF will be immediately be disqualified.
Entries end this Friday (for time to post tickets out) so get your skates on.
If you miss out, tickets are €30 a pair from ticketmaster.ie
Given I’m first (I think) shows how avid a reader of Sour Grapes I am and therefore automatically entitled the tickets? (Oh, and I have to make it festive? Em, “Ho ho ho”?)
Nothing says festive to me like the first mulled wine of the season!
Ahh, the perfect opportunity to hunt down the best Christmas pudding, bar my own, of course!
Ho Hi Ho, Merry as a Larry…
We wish you a merry Christmas (in every sense of the word!!)
a festive comment would have to be that i wish you and all your other little SourGrapes an amazing Christmas, full of laughter, smiles, wrapping paper, fresh turkey, trifle, the smell of a christmas tree, the stars in the sky on christmas eve (my birthday hence the name) and the half eaten cookie left by Mr Clause himself an the dribble in the bottom of the glass of Red, the carrott for Rudolf an the drop of water that he spilt out of the saucer, that is my christmas wish to you :0)
I can’t wait for christamas, a nice period of time in which to drink lots of wine!
What’s the story with all those serious looking guys in suits walking around Dublin city centre today? Strange.
Here’s to the best time of year for all things food and drink, all the better again when you can share it with someone! Roll on Christmas and all the turkey, ham, chocolate, cheese, sweets and crisp sandwiches (a family Christmas Day ritual, or possibly just my own) that it brings!
