About 6 weeks ago I headed along to the Santa Rita 120 Local Hero night. I had a glass or two of the Santa Rita 120 Sauvignon Blanc and this time out it’s the organic.
I’m not going to make a comparison as I can’t remember too much about the wine. Not through drunkedness, but it was more of a sip and chat kind of event where not too much attention is paid to the wine.
Anyhoo, it’s time for the organic version, where the grapes are certified organic – no nasty stuff used to spray them or fertilise them.
And what’s the outcome? A very pleasant easy drinking zippy little number. Think of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with the volume turned down, similar aromas and flavours just more restrained.
Perfectly drinkable.
Price: €9.99 in wineshops and supermarkets.
