Wine in Romania
Wines have been cultivated in Romania since the 7th Century BC and were famous throughout the ancient world.
Romania’s vineyards are positioned on the same latitude as Bordeaux. The Ville Banatului (a DOC wine region) of Transylvania benefits from a mild continental climate ideal for vine growing with a warm season that lasts from April to October an average temperature of 16º C.
The V brand and Recas wines
Recas Wines (one to watch for the future) make this V wine. The “V” brand is a joint venture between Recas Wines and a Cardiff-based company.
The brand concept behind V wines is obviously playing on the vampire mythology from Transylvania.
