Irish wine: Amurensis Walk, Kinsale, Co. Cork
Posted on January 11th, 2009
While Lusca wine (made by David Llewellyn in Lusk, Co. Dublin) has made a small splash this year with their red and white wines – retailing for a whopping €40 per bottle, I picked up the Amurensis Walk wine made in Cork for €11.95 in The Corkscrew, Dublin.
The vineyard is in Kinsale and the wine is made in Mallow, presumably in Longueville House.
I’ve contacted them to get some background on the wine which I’ll publish along with tasting notes and/or a video as soon as I get it.
Have you tasted the Kinsale wine yet?
Yep, and the video tasting comes out on Paddy’s Day
[...] bought the Amurensis Walk back in January and just got around to opening it for a tasting. I thought it could do with a bit [...]
I was just in Kinsale on Saturday! I didn’t realise there were vineyards there. Was it really that bad?! Stick to the potatoes, guys ;)
